Jean Hughes – Regional Champion |
Jean Hughes MSt, RD, RPHNutr is currently Consultant Dietitian in Obesity Management at Peterborough Primary Care Trust. She also holds the position of Senior Lecturer - Dietetics in the School of Health and Emergency Professions at the University of Hertfordshire. In her present role Jean engages key stakeholders and senior clinicians across primary and secondary care and local, regional and national agencies in developing a strategic approach to the commissioning of services and development of care pathways for the effective management of obesity care.
Jean completed her undergraduate education and dietetic training in Canada and her MSt in primary and community care at the University of Cambridge. Jean also completed the the International Healthcare Leadership Programme at Harvard University, Boston USA in 2001 and the European Leadership Programme at the INSEAD graduate business school in France in 2004. She is currently a member of British Dietetic Association, the Association for the Study of Obesity, Dietitians in Obesity Management, the dietetic member of the National Obesity Forum Implementation Leadership Team, a steering group member for the BDA curriculum review and an East of England committee member for the Research for Patient Benefit programme.
